Troppus
Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Troppus, a shared inbox for support teams, operated from Canada and offered to companies in Canada and the United States, including teams that support other businesses and teams that support consumers (for example users of a mobile app). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and the organization you represent.
We do not yet list a separate legal entity name here. Until that is in place, "we" means the operator of the Troppus service at troppus.app.
1. Your account
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
- You must verify your email address before creating or joining workspaces.
- One person per account. Do not share logins between agents.
2. Workspaces and roles
Workspaces are controlled by their owner and admins. Admins manage members, domains, statuses, and settings. The workspace owner is the biller. Owners and admins are responsible for who they invite and for the content their workspace sends and receives, including mail from the people who write in, whether those are other companies or consumers.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Troppus to:
- Send spam, bulk unsolicited email, or marketing campaigns. The service is for support conversations.
- Harass, defraud, or impersonate others.
- Violate applicable email, privacy, or anti-spam laws (such as CASL or CAN-SPAM).
- Send from domains you do not own or control.
- Attempt to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other workspaces.
We may suspend sending, a workspace, or an account if it threatens deliverability, security, or other customers, for example sustained bounce or complaint problems, or clear abuse.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the emails, conversations, attachments, and other content in your workspace. You grant us the limited rights needed to store, process, and transmit that content in order to operate the service, nothing more. You are responsible for having the right to send and store the content you put in the service, including mail from people who write in to your support addresses.
Troppus does not train AI on your content. If a member uses Assist, the current thread may be sent to your configured AI provider to draft a reply. Do not use Assist on threads that should not leave your workspace.
5. Email sending and domains
- You may only verify and send from domains your organization owns or is authorized to use.
- You are responsible for keeping the DNS records (verification, DKIM, SPF, MX) published while the domain is in use.
- Deliverability depends on your sending behavior; we may throttle or pause sending to protect the shared infrastructure.
6. Billing
Paid plans are billed as a monthly or annual subscription per workspace through Stripe. The workspace owner is the billing contact. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled in Stripe or in Admin → Billing. Seat counts are included in each plan and reflect the members of your workspace.
Refunds are not guaranteed. If you believe a charge was made in error, email support@troppus.app. Prices and plan features may change; we will give reasonable notice of pricing changes before they apply to your workspace.
7. Cancellation and deletion
You can stop using the service and delete your workspace at any time. Deleting a workspace removes its conversations, messages, members, invites, and domain configuration immediately, as described in our Privacy policy.
Cancelling billing does not by itself delete the workspace. If a subscription ends and the workspace is left in place, we will delete it later (about 30 days after the subscription ends) unless you restore billing or delete it yourself first.
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every email will be delivered. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the courts of Canada will have exclusive jurisdiction. We chose Canada because that is where the service is operated. If we form a company in another country later, we may update this section.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. If a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify workspace owners. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
